We must hear the women's words.

Attend to them.

They float out there

on the water,

pushing through the good earth,

flying on the wind,

sitting in the embers.

They cannot be contained.

They will find their way to you.

Others cannot diminish them,

shout them down,

malign them,

erase them,

ink them out.

Their words pry open the locked file cabinets,

cut through the restraining straps,

slip under the locked doors,

meet you where you are.
